01. Information the app uses

The app controls compatible lights directly over Bluetooth. The app does not require an account, include advertising or tracking tools, or automatically send your lighting activity or settings to SD Ambient Customs.

The app processes and stores the following information on your device to provide its features:

• Bluetooth device information: controller names, identifiers provided by iOS, connection status, and signal information used to discover, remember, and reconnect to your lights.
• Your preferences: saved cars and lighting devices, names you choose, colors, brightness, presets, lighting zones, schedules, and other control settings.
• Connection diagnostics: status messages and technical details used to display connection problems and help with troubleshooting.

The app does not request your contacts, photos, precise location, payment information, or browsing history.

02. Bluetooth and microphone access

Bluetooth. With your permission, The app finds compatible controllers and sends lighting commands. Bluetooth may remain active in the background to support available controls and reconnection. Commands and supported schedules are sent directly to your selected lighting hardware.

Phone microphone. If you start a phone-microphone music mode, the app asks for microphone permission. It analyzes live sound on your iPhone to adjust lighting colors and brightness. It does not save audio recordings or upload microphone audio. You can stop music mode or revoke microphone access at any time.

Controller microphone. Device-microphone modes use the microphone built into compatible lighting hardware. The app sends control commands for that mode; it does not receive or record an audio stream from the controller.

03. Sharing and support

We do not sell your personal information or share app data with advertising networks. The app does not automatically upload connection diagnostics to us.

If you choose Share connection details, the app passes the selected diagnostic text to the destination you choose using the iOS share sheet. It may include controller names, identifiers, and technical connection information. Review it before sharing; the recipient or service handles it under its own privacy practices.

If you contact SD Ambient Customs, we receive the contact information and message you choose to provide. We use that information to respond to your request and troubleshoot issues, and retain it only as needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations. You can contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to those obligations.

Apple, your lighting hardware provider, and services you choose to use may separately process information under their own policies. This policy describes the app’s handling of information, not the independent practices of those services.

04. Storage and your choices

Saved app settings remain on your device until you change or remove them, or delete the app. The app does not provide its own cloud storage. Depending on your Apple settings, app data may be included in device backups managed by Apple.

• Use the app’s forget options to remove saved car or controller associations. Some preferences may remain after forgetting a device.
• To remove the app’s local data, choose Delete App in iPhone settings. Offloading the app can retain its data. Backup copies are managed separately through your Apple backup settings.
• Manage Bluetooth and microphone permissions in your iPhone’s privacy settings. Disabling a permission prevents features that need it from working.
• Deleting the app does not erase settings or schedules already stored in your lighting controller. Manage those through the controller’s supported controls.

There is no app account to delete. We cannot remotely access or erase settings that are stored only on your device.

05. Visiting this privacy page

This page does not include analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or forms, and does not set cookies through its page code. Our website hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as your IP address, browser information, and access time, to deliver and secure the page.

This policy applies to the SD Ambient Customs app. Other pages or services you visit, including the main SD Ambient Customs website, may use different features and data practices.

06. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or our information practices change. The current version will be available on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before applying a change.
